Sung Hi Lee was born in Seoul, Korea on April 1, 1970 - April Fool's Day. Perhaps she was destined to cause trouble, getting caught in tall trees, getting into fistfights with the neighborhood boys. It was not Sung Hi's misbehavior, but her father's job that first brought her to the United States.

When she first arrived in the US, Sung Hi spoke no English at all, and knew no one. It was sink or swim for her in her new country - and she decisively chose the latter, honing her people-meeting skills as her father's work moved their family from town to town. When Sung Hi was 18, she was spotted by a modeling agent in a nightclub fashion show, and her career chose her. Sung Hi Lee became a model, and began to study Pre-Med at Ohio State University.

Her modeling career included commercials and print ads for Brut, Chrysler, Hilton, Miller and Sunkist, but the print work for which she is most well known is without a doubt her work with Playboy magazine. When a chance meeting with a Playboy photographer put her into the pages of Playboy, Sung Hi figured it would be a one-time affair.

But 2 years later when she was in Montreal on a modeling job with Hawaiian Tropic, Sung Hi was approached by Playboy again, and before she knew it she was in a Playboy Special Issue featuring the models of Hawaiian Tropic. A year later, two times became three, when Sung Hi became the first full-Asian girl to appear on the cover of any US Playboy publication. Since then, she has appeared in numerous international editions of Playboy, the Playboy Books of Lingerie, and many of the Newsstand Specials…and let's not forget those Playboy Supermodel Trading Cards!

Although she was at Ohio State on a full scholarship and well on her way to becoming a doctor of sports medicine, Sung Hi decided that her place was in the spotlight, and made the difficult decision to leave school after three years and move to the Big Apple. She had all the beauty required for the high fashion market - but alas, at 5'4", she didn't have the inches.

Things all worked out for the best, however. Her true dream was to win an Oscar for Best Actress, and no runway models could claim that achievement. She moved to LA, and began studying acting. Already, she's amassed some impressive film and TV experience, with guest star appearances on MORTAL KOMBAT, BLACK SCORPION, and G vs E. She's worked on films like WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRACTION, A NIGHT ON THE WATER, ERROR IN JUDGMENT, and THAT SUMMER IN LA. This year, you'll be able to see her in the indie film MAKING CONTACT. On top of all this, she'll show up in the MORTAL KOMBAT calendar.
